Interjeans was born from a travel back in 1992, when Andrea Belletti, fond of vintage clothing, decides to translate his intuition into pratice: to import and resell real American second-hand jeans in Italy.
In order to turn this project into reality, Andrea starts traveling back and forth between Italy and the US where, aboard a yellow Penske van, drives through the whole country gathering, accurately selecting and purchasing huge stocks of denim trousers to recondition and send straight to Italy – giving them a second life.
In a very short time the yellow van becomes a truck, the network of contacts grows fast while in Italy Andrea starts creating and developing a solit network of loyal clients to distribute, together with second-hand jeans, the first emerging brands, not yet known on the Italian territory.
By then, Interjeans pioneering project becomes a solid, structured and important reality – which nowadays represents a true point of reference in the whole Italian fashion system.
Over the years, Interjeans imported and distributed many brands in the whole Italian territory – such as Ringspun, Religion, Bench, Chaser, Kuichi, California Surf Company, Upper Playground, Tretorn, Cheap Monday, Nudie Jeans, until the actual brand portfolio which features Superdry, Lyle & Scott, Ben Sherman, Dr Denim, National Geographic, Alternative Apparel, Penfield, NA-KD and Mastrum, ranking itself amongst the European fashion distribution leaders in the casual and sportswear scene.
In 2010, Interjeans decides to expand itself and enter the retail world as well. It opens its first clothing store called Be Standard, set to become in this latest decade a real retail chain store, today present from Turin to Rome, until Naples and other important locations.
Alongside this project, Interjeans manages a network of Superdry flagship stores Superdry as well as several Shop-in-Shop concepts distributed all over the Italian territory.
Just like at its birth, Interjeans is constantly pursuing its objective with passion, determination and an avant-guarde vision: to distribute high quality products and discover emerging brands through a constant research globally to develop them on its reference country, offering a broad range of services in support of its own clients and collaborators.
In order to achieve its objective, Interjeans has always relied on a passionate and highly motivated team who grew up over the years and constantly improved its skills with an eye on the future without forgetting the past, paying attention to the newest market dynamics while always staying true to the initial pioneer philosophy, which has always been open to innovation and respectful towards the environment.
